Initial CRICOS registration

Report on initial CRICOS registration of the Australian Guild of Music Education Inc.

On 26 July 2023, TEQSA:

• Approved, under section 10 of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), the registration of the Australian Guild of Music Education Inc. on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) for a period of five (5) years until 26 July 2028.
• Imposed, under section 10B of the ESOS Act, one condition on the CRICOS registration of the Australian Guild of Music Education Inc.

Condition 1: Overseas student capacity

The maximum number of overseas higher education students that the Australian Guild of Music Education may provide a course to, at its registered locations, may not exceed 70 at any time.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision in light of the risk that the Australian Guild of Music Education Inc. may not meet, or continue to meet, the following provision of the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018:

• Standard 11.2.6 in relation to the maximum number of overseas students reflecting the appropriateness of staff and resources for the delivery of its courses at its registered locations.
