TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that The University of Technology Sydney continues to meet the requirements of the ESOS Act and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training 2018 (National Code).

Renewal of CRICOS registration

Report on renewal of CRICOS registration of The Institute of International Studies (TIIS) Pty Ltd

On 28 June 2023, TEQSA renewed, under section 10E of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), the CRICOS registration of The Institute of International Studies (TIIS) Pty Ltd for a period until 20 December 2026, to align with its registration as a higher education provider under the TEQSA Act.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that The Institute of International Studies (TIIS) Pty Ltd has met the requirements of the ESOS Act and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training 2018 (National Code), but that there are risks it may not continue to meet these requirements based on concerns with governance oversight, as identified in TEQSA's registration and accreditation decision, dated 20 December 2022.
