Report on extension of accreditation of six higher education courses of study offered by Colleges of Business and Technology (WA) Pty Ltd
On 12 June 2020, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Colleges of Business and Technology (WA) Pty Ltd:
- Diploma of Arts and Creative Industries from 1 April 2022 to 1 April 2025
- Diploma of Built Environment from 1 April 2022 to 1 April 2025
- Diploma of Commerce from 1 April 2022 to 1 April 2025
- Diploma of Engineering from 1 April 2022 to 1 April 2025
- Diploma of Health Science from 1 April 2022 to 1 April 2025
- Diploma of Information Technology from 1 April 2022 to 1 April 2025
Main reasons for the decision
TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.
