    Report on revocation and variation of conditions of accreditation of three higher education courses of study offered by Acknowledge Education Pty Ltd (trading as Stott's Colleges)

    On 14 May 2015 TEQSA revoked, under Section 53(2) of the TEQSA Act, three of the conditions imposed on the accreditation of the following courses offered by Acknowledge Education Pty Ltd (trading as Stott's Colleges):

    • Bachelor of Business
    • Bachelor of Business (Accounting)
    • Bachelor of Business (Community Services Management)

    The decision to revoke three of the conditions was made on the basis that TEQSA was satisfied that Conditions 1, 3 and 4 had been met.

    TEQSA also varied, under Section 53(2) of the TEQSA Act, Condition 2 imposed on the above courses. The decision to vary Condition 2 extended the due date from 16 March 2015 to 31 August 2015 for Acknowledge Education Pty Ltd to meet the condition.

    There are two conditions remaining on the accreditation of the above courses (refer Public Report Renewal of Accreditation 17 July 2014).

    TEQSA has determined, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (the TEQSA Act), to grant accreditation of the following higher education courses of study offered by Tabor College Victoria for a period of five years until 14 November 2018:

    • Diploma in Theology
    • Diploma in Arts
    • Associate Degree in Arts

    Background to Decision

    Tabor College Victoria submitted an application for accreditation of three courses of study under Part 4 of the TEQSA Act. Subsection 45(4) of the TEQSA Act requires a registered higher education provider who is not authorised to self-accredit the course of study to apply to TEQSA for accreditation. Subsection 49(6) enables TEQSA to grant accreditation of a course of study for a period not exceeding seven years.

    Main Reasons for the Decision

    TEQSA has determined that the three higher education courses of study submitted by Tabor College Victoria for accreditation comply with the Provider Course Accreditation Standards. The course accreditation covers delivery at all Australian sites.
