Extension of accreditation period

Report on extension of accreditation of twelve courses of study offered by Australian Institute of Business and Management Pty Ltd

On 13 November 2020, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the period of accreditation of the following courses offered by Australian Institute of Business and Management Pty Ltd:

• Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from 25 November 2020 to 14 December 2023.
• Bachelor of Business (Management and Finance) from 25 November 2020 to 14 December 2023.
• Bachelor of Information Technology from 4 May 2022 to 14 December 2023.
• Diploma of Accounting from 25 November 2020 to 14 December 2023.
• Diploma of Management from 25 November 2020 to 14 December 2023.
• Graduate Certificate in Business from 23 May 2022 to 14 December 2023.
• Graduate Certificate of TESOL from 17 April 2021 to 14 December 2023.
• Graduate Diploma of Business from 20 June 2021 to 14 December 2023.
• Graduate Diploma of TESOL from 17 April 2021 to 14 December 2023.
• Master of Accounting from 23 May 2022 to 14 December 2023.
• Master of Professional Accounting from 23 May 2022 to 14 December 2023.
• Master of Arts (TESOL) from 17 April 2021 to 14 December 2023.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.
