Report on accreditation of three higher education courses of study by Australian School of Accounting Pty Ltd

On 22 January 2025, a delegate of TEQSA rejected, under section 49 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the applications by Australian School of Accounting Pty Ltd for accreditation of the following courses:

  • Master of Information Technology (Business Analytics)
  • Graduate Diploma of Information Technology (Business Analytics)
  • Graduate Certificate of Information Technology (Business Analytics)

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was not satisfied that the courses submitted by Australian School of Accounting Pty Ltd comply with the following provisions of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021:

  1. Standards 5.1.2 and 5.1.3 in relation to course approval and accreditation.
  2. Standards 3.1.1 in relation to course design.
