Report on application to withdraw registration by Eastern Health
TEQSA has determined, under section 43 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), to grant the application from Eastern Health to withdraw its registration as a Higher Education Provider, with effect from 22 January 2020.
Main reasons for the decision
TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied Eastern Health has ensured the appropriate teach out of its higher education programs prior to withdrawing its registration as a higher education provider. Students were appropriately notified and supported by Eastern Health to complete their course or to transfer into equivalent courses at Monash University.
In addition, TEQSA is satisfied there are appropriate arrangements for the retention of student records and replacement certification which will be maintained at Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre, the centre responsible for delivering the higher education courses at Eastern Health.
Eastern Health made the decision to withdraw its registration as the delivery of its higher education programs has been transferred to Monash University.
