Report on renewal of registration and authority to self-accredit nominated courses of study of Holmesglen Institute (formerly Holmesglen Institute of TAFE)

On 22 October 2024, TEQSA renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Holmesglen Institute (formerly Holmesglen Institute of TAFE) as an Institute of Higher Education, for a period of seven years until 22 October 2031.

On 22 October 2024, TEQSA approved, under section 41 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), Holmesglen Institute (formerly Holmesglen Institute of TAFE) to self-accredit its courses of study in the scope of SAA sought to AQF Level 7, in the following Fields of Education (FoEs):

1. Broad Field of Education (BFoE) to AQF Level 7 in:
   
   1. 02 Information Technology
   2. 08 Management and Commerce
2. Narrow Field of Education (NFoE) to AQF Level 7 in:
   
   1. 0603 Nursing
   2. 1007 Communication and Media Studies

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Holmesglen Institute (formerly Holmesglen Institute of TAFE) continues to meet the applicable Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.
