Report on renewal of registration of University of Divinity (formerly Melbourne College of Divinity)

On 5 June 2024, TEQSA

• renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of University of Divinity (formerly Melbourne College of Divinity) in the category of Australian University, for a period of seven years until 5 June 2031.
• revoke, under section 32 of the TEQSA Act, the following condition imposed on the registration of Divinity on the basis that it is no longer necessary.

Condition 1

The University of Divinity may only self-accredit courses in the following broad field of education: 09 Society and Culture.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that University of Divinity continues to meet the applicable Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.
