Report on variation of condition on registration of Ozford Institute of Higher Education Pty Ltd

On 11 May 2016 TEQSA made a decision, under section 32(2) of the TEQSA Act, to vary the following condition imposed on the registration of Ozford Institute of Higher Education Pty Ltd (OIHE) (refer public report of 7 May 2015):

Condition 2:

By 31 January 2016, OIHE must provide to TEQSA evidence of methodologies for assessment that supports staff to identify and mark individual student contributions in the context of group assessment.

By 31 January 2017 and 31 January 2018, OIHE must provide to TEQSA reports of the School Assessment Committee covering the relevant year of delivery of the courses, and evidence of consideration of the reports by the Academic Board. The information provided must address how OIHE ensures that individual student contributions to group assessments are identified and marked and that each student achieves the required learning outcomes of the units of study and the course.

The decision was made under section 32(2) to vary Condition 2 by removing the first paragraph of condition 2 (as set out below):

By 31 January 2016, OIHE must provide to TEQSA evidence of methodologies for assessment that supports staff to identify and mark individual student contributions in the context of group assessment.

Main reasons for decision

The decision to vary the condition was made on the basis that TEQSA was satisfied that the first paragraph of the condition had been met.
