Renewal of registration
Report on renewal of registration of The University of Sydney
On 3 April 2019, TEQSA renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of The University of Sydney in the category of Australian University, for a period of seven years until 3 April 2026.
Main reasons for the decision
TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that The University of Sydney continues to meet the Provider Registration and Course Accreditation Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015.
TEQSA's assessment considered The University of Sydney's arrangements for delivery at all Australian sites.
TEQSA found that The University of Sydney has demonstrated:
- a sound commitment to continuous quality improvement in its corporate and academic governance processes
- a robust risk management framework that provides assurance that risks to its higher education operations are adequately identified and effectively managed
- a comprehensive policy framework for assuring academic and research quality and integrity
- enhancements to monitoring, reporting and management to facilitate an institutional capability for the effective mitigation of academic misconduct.
