On 29 June 2020, TEQSA renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Melbourne Institute of Technology Pty Ltd in the category of Higher Education Provider, for a period of seven years until 29 June 2027.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Melbourne Institute of Technology Pty Ltd continues to meet the Provider Registration and Course Accreditation Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015 (HES Framework).

TEQSA has found that Melbourne Institute of Technology Pty Ltd has demonstrated a commitment to:

  1. addressing areas of identified risk of non-compliance with the HES Framework
  2. the implementation of a suitable framework to maintain academic integrity
  3. ongoing support of students designed to identify, intervene and assist toward successful completion, and
  4. expanding its approach to data monitoring to allow for more granular analysis of student performance.
