Extension of accreditation period

Report on extension of accreditation of five higher education courses of study offered by South Australian Institute of Business and Technology Pty Ltd

On 29 July 2020, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by South Australian Institute of Business and Technology Pty Ltd:

1. Diploma of Business from 12 December 2020 to 12 June 2023
2. Diploma of Arts from 12 December 2020 to 12 June 2023
3. Diploma of Health Science from 12 December 2020 to 12 June 2023
4. Diploma of Engineering from 12 December 2020 to 12 June 2023
5. Diploma of Information Technology from 12 December 2020 to 12 June 2023

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.
