Extension of accreditation period

Report on extension of accreditation of five higher education courses of study offered by Australian Institute of Management Education and Training Pty Limited

On 20 May 2020, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Australian Institute of Management Education and Training Pty Limited:

• Graduate Certificate Professional Management from 31 October 2020 to 31 October 2023
• Graduate Diploma Management Innovation from 31 October 2020 to 31 October 2023
• Graduate Certificate in Management from 17 December 2022 to 17 December 2025
• Graduate Diploma in Management from 17 December 2022 to 17 December 2025
• Master of Business Administration from 17 December 2022 to 17 December 2025

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.
