Report on extension of accreditation of three higher education courses of study offered by Chisholm Institute
On 14 December 2021, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Chisholm Institute (formerly Chisholm Institute of Technical and Further Education):
- Bachelor of Community Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs from 25 November 2022 to 29 October 2024
- Graduate Certificate in Family Violence from 29 October 2022 to 29 October 2024
- Bachelor of Engineering Technology from 24 May 2023 to 24 May 2025.
Main reason for the decision
TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.
