Extension of accreditation period

Report on extension of accreditation of five higher education courses of study offered by Kaplan Business School Pty Limited

On 11 June 2020, a delegate of TEQSA extended, under section 57A of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the accreditation of the following courses offered by Kaplan Business School Pty Limited:

• Bachelor of Business from 3 July 2021 to 9 October 2021
• Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) from 9 October 2021 to 9 October 2024
• Bachelor of Business (Public Relations) from 9 October 2021 to 9 October 2024
• Bachelor of Business (Finance) from 9 October 2021 to 9 October 2024
• Associate Degree of Business from 4 March 2022 to 9 October 2024

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision in order to reduce the administrative burden of regulation for the provider in response to COVID-19 and its impact on the higher education sector. This decision is consistent with the principles set out in TEQSA's policy on extensions to the period of provider registration or course accreditation, including an assessment of risks associated with the extension.
