Report on provider category change for the Australian College of Theology

On 1 September 2022, TEQSA made a decision, under section 38 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), to change the provider category of the Australian College of Theology from 'Institute of Higher Education' to 'University College'.

Main reasons for the decision

This decision was made on the basis that TEQSA is satisfied that the Australian College of Theology meets the applicable category standards.

The decision to change provider category is a reviewable decision under section 183 of the TEQSA Act and the Australian College of Theology is currently seeking review of the decision.
