Report on renewal of registration of Charles Sturt University

On 20 March 2024, TEQSA renewed, under section 36 of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), the registration of Charles Sturt University as an Australian University, for a period of seven years until 20 March 2031.

Main reasons for the decision

TEQSA made this decision on the basis that it was satisfied that Charles Sturt University continues to meet the applicable Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021.

TEQSA found that Charles Sturt University has demonstrated:

  • A commitment to continuous improvement of its frameworks and practices for corporate and academic governance and to its policy frameworks
  • A systematic approach to monitoring and managing academic risk
  • An institutional focus on monitoring and improving student performance and outcomes.
